Black Creek Community Farm Annual Festival
On July 23rd, 2022, Black Creek Community Farm hosted their 10th annual farm festival. From scavenger hunts, to live performances, there was fun for the whole family. Black Food Sovereignty Toronto tabled to share information about the Toronto Black Food Sovereignty Plan.
Toronto Black Vegan Festival
On July 31, 2022, Black Vegans of Toronto brought hundreds of community members together at Wynchwood Barns to discover Black vegan chefs, farmers, artisans and more. BFST tabled at the event and interacted with dozens of community members.
Harvest Collective & Learning Circle
Led by Black Food Sovereignty Working Group member Nicole Austin, The Harvest Collective and Learning Circle at The Urban Farm, Toronto Metropolitan University, brings Black students, youth, and the community together every third Friday of the month.
National Black Canadian Summit
Hosted from July 29th to July 31st, 2022, the Summit brought Black Canadians from all sectors and walks of life to Halifax, Nova Scotia to share their experiences, raise awareness and spark an inclusive national dialogue.
